The aim of this website

Is to explore what an individual can do to make a difference. I am absolutely convinced that Global Warming is in progress and that we must do all in our power to reverse the trend. Contact me by commenting on my posts.

Actions that can be taken at five levels: personal, local, state, national and international.
The photo above is of a dry lake bed in drought stricken New South Wales.

About

About this site

My blog is not very old! It was only born on March 22, 2010.

I am still experimenting and learning what the 'Blogger' software will allow me to create.

I hope my site will become a resource for people taking action at five levels, "Personal, Local-Community, City-State, National and International." So I have organised the site that way.

I want to examine what, if anything, I actually do at these levels, and write about what else might be possible, or what others do. I hope some viewers will inform my blog-readers by leaving comments.

About me

I was born in a big city, but spent some of my formative years living and working on several farms. I worked for around 30 years as a computer programmer. After retiring, I did some part-time counselling for ten years, in the workplace, in the community, and elsewhere.

Every day now I read, listen to the radio, watch TV documentaries. I spend most of my time collecting information about the world I live in.

As well as sharing that information with just a few friends, I hope to reach a wider audience by "Blogging the night away..."

Memories of Kent
In the winter of 1977.

The village where my mother and her sister grew up.
"Frost on the path. A church spire. Centuries of sustainable farming."

As a teenager I lived a mile or two from here with relatives.
My uncle and aunt had a small dairy farm and four children.

I assert that I took these two photos and that I am the copyright holder.
